Saratoga, CA Lantern Walk Celebrates Diversity

 

Saturday, September 13 from 4 to 6 PM the Lantern Walk, a Chinese custom, will take place in Saratoga Village.   Lantern Walk is a variation of the Mid Autumn Festival, one of three major Chinese holidays.  Its origin stem from ancient farming rituals performed to celebrate and give thanks for the autumn harvest.  Children play under the full moon, listen to legends and stories of the Festival and light lanterns.
