Foreclosures in Santa Clara County
If one reads the newspapers they might get the false impression that all of Santa Clara County is awash with foreclosures in all price ranges. The distribution map of properties currently up for auction clearly shows the east side and Blossom Valley areas have the highest concentrations, but there are few on the westside from Los Gatos north to Palo Alto.Â
Saratoga, CA has only two: 18591 Montpere and 14361 Springer. This distribution pattern is valid for preforeclosures ( where notices of default have been filed) and bank owned REO recently sold.
The graph below shows the monthly trends in Santa Clara County foreclosure auctions through the first three months of 2009, which suggests that the trend is starting to level off, but there are more to come.
