The local media has picked up on the brutal assalt on an elderly pair in Saratoga, CA and created fear since the perpetrators have not yet been caught. My prayers go out to 96 year old Charlie Maridon and his 64 year old daughter Carol for their healing.
The shocking incident naturally raises questions of safety and crime protection. The incident is particularly shocking because it is relatively rare and therefore unexpected. To put things in perspective, statistically Saratoga, CA has a much lower than the state average incidence of violent crimes.
