A Silicon Valley start-up called Dishcrawl is launching an event in Saratoga, CA on August 31, 2011 at 7PM. The idea is that Dishcrawl takes food lovers on a gourmet adventure to four distinctive restaurants in one night. Dishcrawlers will get the opportunity to dine at Sent Sovi, Da Mario, and Uncorked to name a few.
It’s a community event, focused on getting to know local chefs, owners, and neighbors. Dishcrawl is founded on the premise that communities can be brought together through good food and good company. The neighborhood inspired mission allows folks a reason to get out, socially engage with the community while giving restaurants a new way to get in front of the diners of Saratoga and the Bay Area. Tickets, which include all the food for one night, are $45 and can be purchased at their website.
Founder Tracy Lee explains the basic premise of a dishcrawl, “I grew up in Cupertino, so Saratoga has a special place in my heart. I love the little local restaurants and it’ll be like exploring my “hometown”. I’m happy to share the experience of Dishcrawl with friends and faces that know the town just as well as I do, as well as welcome new folks into the beautiful city! We launch in Saratoga with the mission to build a vibrant community around the local restaurants.”
