Shhh… The Language of Silence

Saratoga, CA resident, Raji Lukkoor recently published a memoir, entitled Inner Pilgrimage: Ten Days to a Mindful Me.

She will be delivering a free presentation on her book on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 2 PM at the Saratoga Public Library, 13650 Saratoga Ave., Saratoga, CA 95070

Raji will be sharing her personal journey of self-discovery – a young woman’s yearning for inner peace. Accompany her on “a trip to the woods where she unlocks the secrets of the ever-thinking mind.”

Lukkor recounts a ten-day meditation retreat she attended, hosted by vipassana master S. N. Goenka that irrevocably altered her perspective…and her future. The book captures the dramatic transformation that she experienced as a result of attending a silent retreat (on vipassana meditation) a few years ago.

Despite its spiritual overtones, her book’s non-spiritual message is clear to the lay person: Developing the faculties of self-awareness and empathy allows individuals to not only nurture their emotional maturity, but also create a deeply satisfying life of freedom.

Like Raji’s Facebook Page; read her blog Helping You Connect To Yourself; and purchase the book at Amazon.com (according to Raji’s website “100% of the net proceeds go to charity.”)
